Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 8, 2026
CargoConfirm collects only what it needs to verify freight pickups, never sells personal information, and never shows ads. This policy explains what Driftflow LLC, doing business as CargoConfirm (“we”), collects through CargoConfirm, why, and your choices.
1. Who this covers
- Customers: shippers who create accounts, and their staff.
- People our customers deal with: carriers who receive pickup codes, drivers whose information is recorded at the dock, and receivers who confirm deliveries.
- Website visitors, including people using the free carrier lookup.

3. How we use information
- To run CargoConfirm: look up and monitor carriers, send codes and alerts, verify pickups, create release records, and handle delivery confirmations, approvals, and carrier reports.
- To secure CargoConfirm and prevent fraud, including flagging suspicious pickups within your account.
- To bill you, provide support, and send service messages.
- To improve CargoConfirm, using aggregated information where possible.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
4. How information is shared
- Within your account: your owner and staff see your records. Staff see only their assigned location.
- With carriers and receivers, as part of the service: code emails show your company name, pickup details, and contact information. Delivery emails show load details.
- With providers that run CargoConfirm for us: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, file storage, login), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments), and our email-forwarding provider. Dock addresses are checked with the U.S. Census Bureau's address service.
- When you direct it: for example, a theft report you share with police or your insurer.
- For legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect people, property, or CargoConfirm.
- In a business transfer: if our business is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
5. Our role with pickup data
For pickup and driver information, we act on behalf of the shipper that collected it. The shipper decides what to record and is responsible for following the laws that apply to collecting it. Carriers get only pickup-related emails from us, never marketing. If you're a driver or carrier with a request about a pickup record, contact the shipper or email privacy@cargoconfirm.com, and we'll help or pass your request to the shipper.
6. Driver's license information
When dock staff scan or type a driver's license, CargoConfirm keeps only the name, issuing state, expiration date, and last 4 digits of the license number. We use it only to record who presented a license for a pickup and to warn the shipper about an expired license, a name mismatch, or the same license appearing with a different carrier in that shipper's account. Only the shipper's owner and authorized staff can see it, and it is never sold or shared across customers.
7. Cookies and analytics
CargoConfirm uses cookies that keep you signed in and keep the site secure. We use basic, aggregated analytics to see which pages are used. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
8. How long we keep information
- Account, pickup, and driver information: while the account is open, then deleted within 90 days after it closes.
- Backups: overwritten on a rolling basis, generally within 30 days.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Server logs: generally 30 days or less.
9. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, separate staff logins, verification codes stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, and limited internal access. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as the law requires.
10. Your choices and rights
- You can update your account information in Settings and download release records anytime.
- You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information by emailing privacy@cargoconfirm.com. We'll confirm your identity and respond within 30 days, or sooner if your state's law requires.
- Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you more rights. We won't treat you differently for using them.
- We may keep some information when the law requires it, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
11. Children
CargoConfirm is for businesses and isn't directed to anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
12. Where information is stored
CargoConfirm is offered to businesses in the United States, and we store and process information in the United States.
13. Changes to this policy
We'll post updates here and change the effective date. For material changes, we'll email account owners before they take effect.
